Czech and Slovak Neutron Scattering Community (CSNSC)

Czech and Slovak Neutron Scattering Community (CSNSC) is working within the frame of the Czech and Slovak Crystallographic Association (http://krystal.karlov.mff.cuni.cz/xray/csca.htm) (for the Slovak part see also http://savba.savba.sk/sav/cryst/cry.html). It has been established for strengthening the collaboration between neutron users in Europe via ENSA, for supporting the development of new neutron sources, development of new neutron scattering techniques and instrumentation as well as promoting new research ideas. CSNSC via its representative is responsible for taking care of Czech and Slovak interests in European Neutron Scattering Association ENSA. CSNSC also supports activities of the Czech and Slovak neutron researchers working in the field of experimental low-energy nuclear physics. At present, several groups of different Czech and Slovak institutions, namely,

use neutrons in their research. For their experiments they use either medium power research reactor LVR-15 in Rez (Czech Republic) or other european neutron sources via submitting research proposals.

In 1999, the Czech Republic joined Institute Laue-Langevin, having established a consortium with the existing member Austria at the level of 2 %.
